FROM AIRPORT:
Taxi: The cheap and best transport (State govt approved) for a specific location (black & yellow colour, AC/non-AC). Take receipt from air port inside/ outside counter, then go to taxi pick up stand just opposite to departure gates.
Other private taxis such as OLA/ Uber/ FastTrack etc are also available with counters but they are of little bit costly.
Auto rikshaws: will available once you come out entirely to service road by walk, just opposite airport (within few hundred meters).
Local city buses: are also available for different destinations.
Local trains: for places within city/ suburban you have to go to Trisulam local train station (within half km by walk).
FROM CHENNAI CENTRAL (MGR) RAILWAY STATION:
City busses: Once you come out from central station, there is city bus stop within station just out side departure gate,
Pre-paid Auto rickshaw stand: (you pay Rs5/- and book prepaid auto rickshaw to any part of Chennai); there are prepaid/ private taxis also available just side of auto stand,
Chennai Metro at central station: i) Egmore, Nehru park, Kilpack, Pachiappa college, Shenoy nagar, Anna nagar, Tirumangalam, Koymabedu, CMBT, Arumbakkam, Vadapalani, Ashok nagar, Ekkathungal , Alandur & St Thomas mount on west & SW side; ii) LIC, 1000 lights, AG DMS, Teynampet, Nandanam, Saidapet, Little mount, Guindy, Alandur, Nanganallur, Meenambakkam, Trisulam on south side and iii) High court, Mannadi, Washerman pet, Tyagaraja college, Tondairpet, New washerman pet, Tollgate, Kaladipet, Thiruvattryur, VIMCO nagar, on north side
MMC (Moore Market Complex)’ suburban local train station towards Korukkupet , Vimco nagar stations
Park’ local train station (with in 500m) for Chennai sub-urban places such as Egmore, Nungambakkam, sadapet, gundy, thoms mount, Trisulam etc (south side ) and Chennai Fort, Chennai beach, washermen pet (north side) on Chennai Beach–Chengelpet section
Park Town ’ local train station (within 300m) just opposite central after road crossing (by sub way), to go to Mylapore, Tharamani, Velachery, Siruseri, Thiruvanmiyur
FROM EGMORE RAILWAY STATION:
City busses: Once you come out from Egmore station, there is a city bus stop, one on left side (Adyar, Besant nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, Siruseri etc) and another one on right side opposite road (Koyambedu side)

Inter-state buses: You can get all buses for all major cities of different states in India
FROM MMBT (MADHAVARAM MOFUSSIL BUS TERMINUS):
From here you will get state govt inter-state buses between Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu
